The company ZAVRZ can boast the Fajn firma 55+ title

The "Fajn firma 55+" contest, announced by the South Bohemian Society for Human Resources Development o.p.s. and Trenkwalder a.s., recognises companies that employ older employees and value their experience and reliability. This year 16 companies entered the contest, and the firm ZAVRZ s.r.o. became the winner in the small-company category. The announcement took place on 10 December 2024 in the building of the Regional Authority in České Budějovice.

According to a survey by the Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, 62 % of people think that older employees are less flexible and have problems learning new skills. These stereotypes, however, do not correspond to reality; moreover, studies show that older workers are more reliable and loyal than younger colleagues. Despite this, only 15 % of Czech firms target them in recruitment, even though demand for the workforce exceeds supply.
